Are Controlled Substances prescribed by Synapse Psychiatry?

Stimulants may be prescribed for treatment of ADHD after confirmation of diagnosis and needs.

Controlled substances such as benzodiazepines (lorazepam (Ativan), clonazepam (Klonapin), Xanax (alprazolam), diazepam (Valium)) are not prescribed through Synapse Psychiatry. Please reach out with any questions.

What conditions are treated by Synapse Psychiatry?

Treatment is offered for those who are seeking relief from depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, or ADHD.

***Synapse Psychiatry does not provide emergency services and does not treat psychosis or severe mental health conditions.

What should a prospective client know about working with you?

During appointments we will discuss medications, supplements, diet, therapy, and lifestyle approaches to help improve your overall well-being. We will work together to come up with a personalized treatment plan that will help you reach your realistic and attainable goals by bringing together medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle strengths.

Do you treat college students?

Yes, treatment is available for college students who are located in MA, ME, VT or NH during the time of treatment.

How and When are appointments conducted?

Appointments are available exclusively by video telehealth and are available on weekdays and evenings.
