Do you treat college students?

Yes, treatment is available for college students who are located in MA, ME, or NH during the time of treatment, and who are seeking treatment for depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Bipolar II, or ADHD.

How and When are appointments conducted?

Appointments are available exclusively by video telehealth and are available on weekdays and evenings. Clients must be living and physically located in MA, NH, or Maine.

Are Controlled Substances prescribed through Synapse Psychiatry?

Certain controlled substances (including benzodiazepines: lorazepam (Ativan), clonazepam (Klonapin), Xanax (alprazolam), diazepam (Valium), are NOT prescribed through Synapse Psychiatry. Please reach out with any questions.

Stimulants may be prescribed after confirmation of diagnosis of ADHD or ADD and if deemed appropriate by the provider.

What conditions are treated by Synapse Psychiatry?

Treatment is offered for those who are seeking relief from depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Bipolar II, or ADHD. Synapse Psychiatry does NOT provide emergency services and does NOT treat psychosis or severe mental health conditions.

What should a prospective client know about working with you?

Treatment is available to clients ages 18 to 64 who are located and living in MA, NH, and ME. During appointments we will discuss medications, supplements, diet, therapy, and lifestyle approaches to help improve your overall well-being. We will work together to come up with a personalized treatment plan that will help you reach your realistic and attainable goals by bringing together medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle strengths.

Does Synapse Psychiatry take insurance?

Yes, there are multiple insurances accepted. All effort is made to verify that your insurance coverage is accepted prior to your initial appointment. Prospective clients are encouraged to contact your insurance company to verify if you are unsure of coverage.

Insurances accepted in Maine include: Martin’s Point, Aetna, Cigna, Community Health Options.

Insurances accepted in MA include: Carelon, Oscar, Oxford, United Healthcare, Point32, Quest Behavioral Health, Aetna and Cigna.

Insurances accepted in NH include: Carelon, Point32, Quest Behavioral Health, Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem BlueCross BlueShield.

Is private pay accepted?

Yes, private, cash pay is accepted. Please see below:

$250 for an initial consultation (60 to 90 minutes).

$170 for follow up appointments (30 to 45 minutes).
